Study Abroad

Study abroad is a rewarding, life-transforming experience that is an integral part of any academic program, and is an ideal preparation for life after graduation. The TU
Department of Art + Design, Art History, Art Education supports and encourages every student to study abroad at least once during their undergraduate program. The department offers an art history course in Florence, Italy and also partners with the Studio Art Centers International (SACI) Consortium for longer stays.

The Department of Art + Design, Art History, Art
Education offers a very successful art history course in Florence. Students study Italian art and architecture during this 3-week-long summer excursion, which even includes a cooking class. Students may also participate in optional weekend trips to Rome and Venice. Undergraduate and graduate sections are offered. This study abroad course can replace an upper-level art history course. Scholarships may be available to Towson undergraduate students.
Space is limited, so apply early. For more information, contact art history professor Lynette Mooney at lmooney@towson.edu.
