BS/BA or BFA of Art + Design
Admission Requirements
Students should declare the BS/BA of Art + Design in their freshman year, to ensure timely progress in their program of study. Admission to Towson University allows a student to declare a BS/BA of Art + Design as their major. A portfolio is not required for admission to the BS/BA of Art + Design
major. A student portfolio is developed at the college level during their study at Towson.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts of Art + Design requires students to complete a screening process before continuing with more advanced coursework. Screening is open to existing Towson students with at least 45 college credits and no less than a B- average in the major. Admission into Towson University and declaration of an Art + Design BS/BA concentration does not guarantee acceptance into the BFA Program.
