Art Studio Major
Interdisciplinary Crafts Track

The program in Interdisciplinary Crafts gives students the opportunity to draw from the resources and coursework in Metalsmithing and Jewelry, Ceramics, Stained Glass, Wood, and Fibers to create a curriculum based on student interest. Students complete two levels of foundations courses in drawing, design, and art history. This track prepares students for careers in art, design, craft, and entrepreneurial opportunities related to crafts.
Students in the Interdisciplinary Crafts program have access to the Metalsmithing and Jewelry, Ceramics, and Wood studios, as well as the digital labs for design applications.
Students should meet with their advisor to determine recommended course sequence based on individual needs and course availability. Please contact Professor Jan Baum, at jbaum@towson.edu.
