Audiology Faculty Position
The Department of Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology and Deaf Studies at Towson University invites applications for a full time 10-month tenure track faculty position at the assistant professor level beginning August 18, 2009. Responsibilities include primarily doctoral instruction, scholarly research activities, supervision of Au.D. student thesis projects, academic advising, and university and community service. Applicants with expertise in the following areas will be given preference: pediatrics, aural rehabilitation, genetics, pharmacology, and vestibular diagnosis and rehabilitation. Requirements: Ph.D. in audiology (A.B.D. candidates are eligible but all degree requirements must be completed by February 1, 2010.), certification as an Audiologist and eligible for Maryland licensure. Salary is commensurate with degree and experience.

The Department of Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology and Deaf Studies currently has 20 full-time faculty and over 260 undergraduate majors across two baccalaureate degree programs: Speech Pathology and Audiology, and Deaf Studies. The department's graduate programs enroll over 95 students in the master's degree program in speech language pathology, and over 40 students in the Audiology clinical doctorate program.
