The Towson University TIGER Marching Band is proud to announce the 2011 Towson University BAND DAY. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, September 10th at the Towson vs. Villanova University football game in Johnny Unitas Stadium on the Towson University campus. We are very excited to bring back this performance opportunity and would love to include your students in a halftime massed band performance! What a sensational experience for your students!

The schedule of the day:

2:30 PM	Visiting bands arrive at Towson University, unload, and prepare for rehearsal.
3:00 PM	Rehearsal and run through.
5:00 PM	Eat lunch, change into uniforms on buses, and line up to enter the stadium.
6:30 PM	All visiting bands are seated inside Johnny Unitas Stadium.
7:00 PM	Football game begins.
Halftime	Massed band performance including your students!
10:00 PM	Visiting bands depart for home.

If you're interested, here's what to do:

1.	Complete the registration form as soon as possible.
2.	Upon receiving your registration form, you will receive music for the two selections the massed band will perform.
3.	On September 2nd, you will be contacted for final numbers of students, adults, and vehicles.
4.	You must prepare the music with your students in advance of September 10th and appear in full band uniforms for the performance. No need to memorize music! Flip folders work great!

There is an exciting atmosphere here at Towson University. The marching band has grown exponentially over the past few years and even performed on the world stage for the 2009 Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. Here on the Towson University campus, our Johnny Unitas Stadium provides a fantastic venue for athletes, performers, and spectators. We are looking forward to a “bigger and better” band day this year!
