We are thrilled to announce that the Towson University TIGER Marching Band has been accepted to perform in the 2009 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City!! Each year only a few bands from across the country are selected to perform in front of 2.5 million people on the street - and another 44 million television viewers - and we are extremely honored to be selected. Thank you to all our current members, past members, alumni, family, friends, Towson faculty/staff/administration, and all other supporters of the TIGER Marching Band. We could not have achieved this great accomplishment without your hard work and support.

(8/19/08) If you are moving into on campus housing early for band camp, you will need to use this parking permit

(8/18/08) TUMB Members who need early on campus housing should check this list to make sure your name is included. Please contact us ASAP if there are any discrepancies. On campus housing for band camp only applies to those students who have signed a housing contract and will be living on campus all semester.

(8/16/08) The Band Camp Newsletter, Band Camp Schedule, Membership Handbook, and Registration Forms have been posted in the Members Area.

(7/22/08) The TIGER Marching Band will host our 4th annual Towson University BAND DAY on September 27th.

(7/19/08) Pregame is back this year! Music for Maryland Medley, Tiger Mania, National Anthem and Fight Song have been posted in the Members Area.

(7/3/08) The 2008 Band Camp RSVP form has been posted. ALL 2008 new and returning members need to complete this form even if you've already completed a Prospective Member form in the past.

(7/3/08) The website has been updated with information about the 2008 season. Please make note of all summer rehearsals and encourage your parents to visit the Parents Section of the site.

Band Camp

The full band camp schedule is now posted in the Members Area
The following are days when band camp will begin for certain sections of the band. If you live on campus, you will move into your dorm the morning of the day you report (with the exception of SMAC):
Wednesday evening, August 20th - All SMAC Members (student leaders). Your on Campus move in is Thursday morning.
Thursday, August 21st – All percussion (battery and pit) and all color guard members. On Campus move in during the morning.
Friday, August 22nd – All brass and woodwinds (both new and returning). On Campus move in during the morning.
Saturday, August 30th – Our band camp will end with our first football game at Navy in Annapolis. The game starts at 3:30pm.

The Towson University TIGER Marching Band plays exclusively on Yamaha brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments.
