• Attention all Students/Parents/Family/Friends, The TUMB Comp Ticket Site Has Changed!! The new location is a tent by the marching band's cookout area. This is located to the left of the Towson Center at the back of Lot 21 (See Map). Tickets will be at this location until kickoff. If you arrive after this, please go directly to the stadium ticket office to obtain your comp tickets. Day of parking passes can be purchased for $8 on your way in for Lot 13 and 14 (on the opposite side of the stadium). • Towson's Friday Night Block Party (9/18)
  This Friday (9/18) the TUMB will be performing in downtown Towson for Towson's "FEET ON THE STREET" Friday Night Block Party. The TUMB is scheduled to perform on Allegheny Avenue from 8:00-8:30PM. Free parking for the event at the COPT building (entrance on Allegheny Ave. - you must enter after 5pm & exit after 7pm). • (4/26/09) Percussion Auditions Sign-up Form
  
  We are very excited to announce auditions for both the battery percussion section and the front ensemble for the upcoming 2009 marching band season. Every prospective member (non-vets and vets) of the Towson University Tiger Marching Band Percussion section must sign up for a audition. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, May 5th and Tuesday, May 12th at the Center for Music and Arts Building (room 3069 for front ensemble, room 3075 for battery). Spots in the battery and front ensemble will not be determined from this audition, however, it is meant for instructional staff to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of all incoming players. Prospective battery members will be asked to play a legatos exercise, a doublebeat exercise, a accent/tap exercise, a rolls exercise, flams, paradiddle variations, and a 30-60 second solo. They will also be asked to sightread a short piece of music. Prospective front ensemble members will be asked to play green, spacial, and a prepared piece of their choice. They will also be asked to sightread a short piece of music.

• (9/12/08) We are STARTING rehearsal (9/12/08) inside in the CFA. I would like trucks unloaded and everyone ready to play at 3:45. When we are inside, please allow more time for set up. Unless you hear otherwise, brass and woodwinds will be in the band room, pit in the concert hall, battery in the chorus room. We will work on Love Shack.
  
  If it clears for a little bit, we may go out onto Burdick Field to learn the drill for the end of Brass Machine. We would do this without moving our equipment to the field. Just marchers, drill charts, yard-line markers, drum major podium, and Long Ranger. Make sure to wear clothes/shoes to move in just in case.
  
  Guard – I’m waiting to hear back from the Burdick Gym people. Plan that you are in a Burdick gym unless you hear otherwise.

• (4/18/08) 2008 Percussion Audition Information:
  The TUMB will be holding percussion auditions for Battery and Front Ensemble on Monday 5/5 and Monday 5/12 from 3pm to 8pm. Auditions will be in 15min time slots. The audition will be very laid back and will be designed to give the staff an idea of where the students might fit best in the drumline. Final spots in the Battery and Front Ensemble will not be set unitl August. To schedule a time slot, you can sign up on the sheet outside Mr. Miliauskas's office or Battery contact Percussion Head Matt Lusky at luskymc@gmail.com or 302-723-1620; Front Ensemble should contact Allen Kessel at akessell81@yahoo.com to schedule a time.

• (8/25/07) Family Friends Performance: Tomorrow's annual Family Friends Performance has been moved from Unitas Stadium to the Lower Athletic Field. The Lower Athletic Field is right next to the soccer field and visible from the 'Home' side of Unitas Stadium. To get to the field you can park in lot 19 or 20 (Campus Map).

• (8/21/07) Band Camp Update: This mornings practice will be inside due to the rain. Winds and Percussion should report to the Center for the Arts (CFA) and the Guard should report to Burdick gym. Breakfast will be served in CFA at 8:30. Practice begins for all members at 9:15.

  Because of housing restrictions, band camp will now start on the following dates for the following people:
  
  Friday, August 17th – Percussion Battery & Pit
  Monday, August 20th – Everyone else including: Color Guard, and all Brass and Woodwinds.
  
  Anticipate a morning move into the dorms with rehearsal beginning in the early afternoon. More specific times will follow. SMAC members (student leaders) will have a Saturday evening meeting and preparation all day Sunday.

Go to the 3rd floor of the lobby and find the hallway that is all the way on the right. Go down to the end of that hallway and you will find the band room. Super Drum Major Greg Jackson will be in the lobby starting at about 3:10 to help you find your way :)

• (2/4/05) TIGER Band Alumni!
  We would like to invite you to our first 'official' Alumni Band event! Please come and join the TIGER Pep Band at the men's basketball game against the College of William and Mary on Saturday February 26th at 4:00 PM (please arrive between 2:45 - 3:00). The TIGER Pep Band has grown in size and energy since many of you were in the band and we think you will enjoy playing with them. It's also a great opportunity to come back visit your alma mater and see what has changed since you left; such as the massive renovation project underway at the Center for the Arts. After the game we hope you will stick around and help us start putting together some ideas (while enjoying some pizza, snacks, and drinks) on the Alumni Marching Band we plan on having at next years Homecoming game. If you don't have your instrument anymore or always played on a school instrument just let us know and we'll be happy to provide on for you.

• (11/30/04) Rehearsal today (11/30) and Thursday (12/2) will be inside. We will rehearse and memorize music for the parade on Sunday.

  GUARD - Mike Pearson (the uniform guy) will be here on 11/30 from 3:30 until 4:00 to check out the uniform fittings or lack there of. Therefore, all guard members must be there at this time.
  

• (11/16/04) A new site for the TIGER Pep Band has been created!
  

• (11/12/04) Rehearsal today (11/12/04) has been CANCELLED. We will have rehearsal tomorrow starting at 1:00 PM. Practice location and parking are up in the air so be sure to check back here or your email later today when an itinerary will be sent out.

• (09/10/04) Rehearsal today (9/10/04) will be on the field where the football team normal practices. It is located just outside the stadium across the street from the field house. If you do not know where this is, meet here at the Center for the Arts and someone will walk over with you. A section leader should come here first to make sure everyone knows where they're headed.
  
  Can someone put up a sign here and near Burdick so those who show up at those places know where to go?
  
  Percussionists, we need to get the equipment in the truck secured ASAP, so I can drive it over to the field.
  
  I know this is difficult, just get there between 3:30 and 3:45 as soon as you can.

• (07/30/04) Welcome to the new home of The Towson University TIGER Marching Band!
  

• (07/16/04) For the first time this fall, The Towson University Tiger Marching Band will perform at the University Band Exhibition held in Allentown, PA! The date of this year's show is Sunday, October 10th. Towson will join such powerhouse university bands as: The University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band, the University of Delaware Fightin' Blue Hen Marching Band, the West Chester University Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band, the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Marching Band, along with many others. • (07/02/04) Summer Marching Band Rehearsal Dates for all new and returning members:
  Sunday July 25th 2pm - 6pm: Color Guard Rehearsal in the Fine Arts Building Room 390
  Sunday August 1st 2pm - 6pm: Brass & Woodwinds reading session in the Fine Arts Building Room 390
  Sunday August 15th 11am - 6pm: Percussion (Battery & Pit) Rehearsal in the Fine Arts Building Room 390. Auditions for parts (not the band itself, but what you will play) will be held during this time.
  Band Camp August 23rd - 29th (All Day) more details to come shortly.
