Navy Football Game, Home Football Games, and GamedayParking Information

On Saturday August 30th, we have our first football game vs. Navy at Annapolis. This is exciting as our first game against a Bowl Championship Series (BCS) opponent. The season parking pass, in particular, is a much better deal if you'll be attending multiple games.

Complimentary Football Game Tickets

Every member of the TU TIGER Marching Band is given two complimentary admission tickets for every home football game. At the Wednesday band rehearsal preceding a home football weekend, band members can submit two names for complimentary admission. It is important that tickets are signed up for on this day. The ticket office must have the information that evening.

On game day, to retrieve these tickets, parents or friends should report to the "marching band will call" table outside the south-side entrance of Johnny Unitas Stadium. If you get to the stadium early, try to get your tickets as soon as you can. The will call table is open one hour before the game. This will help alleviate a long line 30 minutes before kick off.

Seating Placement for Complimentary Tickets

A few years ago, there was a desire for band parents with complimentary tickets to sit near the band. The trade off to this proximity is a 5 - 10 yard line view of the game and, of course, the band's field performances. I'm always open to input that I can share with the ticket office. Band Trailers and Truck

This summer we are taking delivery of two trailers, a pickup truck, and a box truck for the TUMB. If anyone would like to volunteer to drive these vehicles for our off campus performances, please contact us at tigerband@towson.edu. The vehicles are sized to not need any special licenses.

Bands of America Regional Band Competition Volunteers

This fall, the TUMB will continue hosting a Bands of America Regional Championship in Johnny Unitas Stadium. Each year, 25 of the finest high school marching bands from the east coast compete here on campus. We will need parent volunteers to help on the day of the show, Saturday, October 18, 2008. Examples of duties include gate monitors, program sellers, and driving our nifty golf cart around! Please reserve the date and contact us at tigerband@towson.edu.

Pants Pinning

On the mornings of Thursday, August 21st and Friday, August 22nd, this year's band members will be sized for uniforms. If anyone is close by and has any type of expertise with pinning pants for correct length, please contact us at tigerband@towson.edu. We do send the pants to a tailor to be hemmed, unless someone would be super excited to help tackle this job!

Flag Sewing

We are excited to have one of the more accomplished university color guards on the east coast! With that honor comes the need for flags designed for each musical production. Some of you may have experienced this with your student's high school marching band. Gameday Cookouts
