All full-time faculty are invited to submit a proposal for the upcoming January Conference by October 3, 2013. Notification of proposal decisions will be forwarded by November 11, 2013. The official conference registration form will open for all on November 15, 2013. Presentations will be selected based on their appropriateness to the theme, and theoretical framework of the conference and/or practical use of technology for instructional purposes. Proposals for the Provost’s January 2014 conference are due. This year's conference will focus on experiences and best practices for implementing teaching excellence that include time-tested and emerging techniques.

Towson University’s Faculty Development and Research Committee (FDRC) Fall-2013 Faculty Grant applications are due..
Significant changes have been made to the FDRC grant program. The five main changes are:
1) There are only now only two application periods: fall and spring.
2) There is a 12-month cycle for each project
3) The eligible amount has raised to $6000
4) Summer is now folded into the cycle and does not have a separate application.
5) Fall deadline is Tuesday, October 15, 2013, 5 p.m.

Deadline for submission of abstract to 2014 Posters on the Hill. In the spring of 2014, the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) will host its 18th Annual Posters on the Hill. There will be an evening poster session and reception where students will have the opportunity to speak directly to member of Congress and demonstrate how they have been impacted by these programs. Deadline for submission of nominations for the the President’s Diversity Awards. The nomination form and more information can be found at: http://wwwnew.towson.edu/main/abouttu/comdiv/diversityaward.asp. Separate awards are made for students, staff, faculty and departments.
Bring the completed Form A to a faculty meeting for approval by the department.
Approval by the department will trigger the chairperson's submittal of the proposa to the College Curriculum Committee; they will forward to the University level.
