Learning Outcomes

Key Program Learning Goals:

1. Students will be able to explain the core concepts and principles of Biology.
2. Students will be able to demonstrate the scientific process through the use of hypothesis testing in the design and implementation of an experiments.
3. Students will be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in discipline specific contexts.

Key University Core Learning Outcomes and Related Goals:

1. Students will demonstrate information literacy by researching a topic, developing an argument and organizing supporting details (1g).
2. Students will be able to apply appropriate critical-thinking/problem-solving skills in biological sciences (2c).
3. Students will be able to identify fundamental similarities and differences among various fields of scientific study (4c).
