Blackboard and PeopleSoft Integrate
Overview
Beginning with the Fall 2009 semester, all courses and enrollments present within PeopleSoft will automatically be created on the Blackboard System. These courses will be empty sites, and you will have the ability to copy material out of previous courses into the new sites or design them from scratch.
• Whenever a student enrolls in your course in PeopleSoft, they will be automatically placed in your Blackboard course site;
• Whenever a student drops or adds a course, they will be removed from the Blackboard course site.
Combining Sections:
The new process will create a separate course site for every section you teach. If you want to combine sections into a single site, please fill out the Course Combination Request form http://www.towson.edu/blackboard/Combination.asp .
Instructors Not Using Blackboard:
If you do not plan on using your site(s) on Blackboard, simply do nothing. All courses that have not been accessed (made available or material added) will automatically be removed from Blackboard at the end of the current semester.
Blackboard Coded for FA09:
If you already have a site on Blackboard coded for the FA 09 semester, you will need to copy your information from that site to your newly created site. For Course Copy: enter the course you would like to copy click Control Panel>Course Copy>Browse and Select the new course>Select all areas of the course except for Enrollments>Submit.
LearnOnline Collection – Fall 09 Deadline:
As a reminder beginning Fall 09 all courses on Blackboard will be using the LearnOnline Collection to store course materials. Materials will no longer be added into your course site using the “attach local file” option.
