Create unique ceramic artwork with ordinary
clay and a spin of the wheel. Learn to use the
potter’s wheel and imaginative hand building
and glazing techniques to produce one-of-a-kind
ceramic objects and vessels. Topics include wedging,
centering and wheel throwing, along with coiling,
slab construction and glaze applications. Working
with clay can be a therapeutic process as you
make something beautiful with your hands. Returning
students will be able to concentrate on either
the wheel or hand built construction. For beginners
and intermediate students. Includes firing fee.
Photoshop is a powerful medium for creating stunning works of art. In this workshop, students will learn how to create complex digital compositions using Photoshop's drawing and image effects toolbox. They will work with a variety of source materials including created images, photographs, personal artwork and found "images" to create personal works of art.
