Introduction to the Graphic Novel<<<<New Class!
ages 12-17 
 

8 Saturdays, 9:30am-noon

October 5 -November 23

This class is an introduction to the process of creating an orginal graphic novel. Using the language of visual storytelling, students will develop a script, character and setting for their story. They will learn the sequential steps starting with sketches to printing their finished story. A combination of hand drawn and computer assisted techniques will be used sketching, penciling, inking, adding text, coloring, and finally printing their finished page.

November 2 - November 23

Photoshop is a powerful medium for creating stunning works of art. In this workshop, students will learn how to create complex digital compositions the using drawing and image effacts tools the Photoshop suite has to offer. They will work with a variety of source materials including created images, photographs, personal artwork and found "images" to create personal works of art.

$180 (Bring a USB Flash drive & personal photos/artwork/images to work with)
