Take cartooning to the next level! Turn your
illustrations and cartoons into animated objects
and characters created on the computer. This
workshop introduces students to computer graphic
software programs used in animation. Students
will learn basic image editing techniques with
Adobe Photoshop and 2-D linear animation using
Flash CS4. This class is designed for participants
of all levels. Some experience with computer
graphics and cartooning or drawing helpful. Flash
Drives are recommended for saving work.

Participants will navigate through
Flash CS4, learning various animation styles
and scripting codes used in interactive game
design.
Participants will successfully design a basic
Flash-based game that incorporates various animations,
scripting codes, and sounds. This course is a
good introduction for the gamer in all of us.
Participants should bring a USB Flash drive.

Jim Briggs heads the computer graphic Career
Completer program for Franklin High. He writes the computer graphic
curriculum guide for Baltimore
County and teaches the CAC Computer Graphics Workshops. Jim
develops interactive CD portfolios for companies and educational
institutions.
