American Red Cross Babysitter Training, Child and Infant CPR and First AidCourse Description The purpose of this course is to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. Child and Infant CPR will train babysitters to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in children and infants at the lay responder level. Training in First Aid will teach babysitters the knowledge and skills necessary to give care in an emergency, help sustain life and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until medical help arrives at the lay responder level. Event Fee $100.
Fees are non-refundable if participant does not demonstrate skill competency, fails written test or cannot attend entire course. If instructor cancels class due to low registration numbers or unforeseen circumstances, full refunds will be given to registered participants.
