8 Week Challenge

Campus Recreation Service’s 8-Week Challenge is here for the fall and focuses solely on physical fitness! Why wait until the New Year to start getting in shape...you can start NOW!

What is the 8 Week Challenge?
The 8 Week Challenge encourages Towson University students to be motivated to achieve your fitness goals, while learning about the latest events and trends in Campus Recreation Services and fitness.

The challenge incorporates a minimum of 20 strength & 20 cardio workouts to be performed at the participants’ leisure, while following specific guidelines.

Who is eligible to participate?
The 8 Week Challenge is open to all students with a valid TU OneCard. The program is for participants of all fitness levels, from beginner to advanced.

When does the Challenge take place?

  • The first half of the challenge begins February 17 and ends March 16
  • The second half of the challenge begins March 26 and ends April 22
  • Registration begins on February 10 and ends February 22

How to Register

  • Email 8WC@towson.edu with the text "I'm up for the challenge!"
  • You will automatically be added to the 8 Week Challenge listserv to receive information about workouts and standings
