Tier 1 – Conditional

1. Clubs must satisfy ALL the following criteria
2. Must maintain minimum of 10 members
3. Must be able to function as the lowest priority for facility reservation
4. Must be able to operate with limited or no funding from the Sport Clubs Organization
5. Must have at least three (3) members participate in at least one (1) campus community service event per semester

Tier 2 - Recreational

1. Clubs must satisfy ALL the following criteria
2. Must satisfy ALL criteria set forth in Tier 1(A)
3. Have been a recognized Sport Club for minimum 3 semesters
4. Must fundraise a minimum of $250 or 10% of total SCO Budget Request (whichever is greater)
5. Complete one hour of Community Service per liability on file
6. Complete at least one (1) off campus community service/philanthropic events per year

Tier 3 – Competitive

1. Clubs must satisfy ALL the following criteria
2. Have been a recognized Sport Club for minimum 3 semesters
3. Must participate in substantial number of competitions (as determined by sport)
4. Only Clubs in Tier 3 must satisfy the following criteria:
5. Must fundraise a minimum of $350 or 10% of total SCO Budget Request (whichever is greater)
6. Must complete at least 150 hours of community service per year
7. Must complete at least three (3) off-campus community service/philanthropic events per year
8. Must complete at least one (1) community service/philanthropic event per semester

Tier 4 – The Gold Status

1. Clubs must satisfy ALL the following criteria:
2. Have been a recognized Sport Club for minimum 3 semesters
3. Must participate in substantial number of competitions (as determined by sport)
4. Must have certification by state/regional/national governing body
5. Must have national governing body for sport
6. Must have ability to qualify for governing body sanctioned national championship in sport
7. Must have liability insurance with third-party insurer or through national affiliation with sport
8. Must hold at least one SCO approved fundraising event per semester
9. Must create and maintain up-to-date website
10. Must fundraise a minimum of 20% of total SCO Budget Request
11. Must compete during both fall and spring semesters
12. Only Clubs in Tier 4 must satisfy the following criteria:
13. Must complete at least 250 hours of community service per year
14. Must complete at least three (3) off-campus community service/philanthropic events per year
15. Must complete at least one (1) community service/philanthropic event per semester

Tier 5 – Premier Status

• Clubs must satisfy ALL the following criteria
• Must satisfy ALL criteria set forth in Tier 4(A)
• Must have clear mission and goals defined
• All members of Club Travel team must maintain minimum 2.0 GPA
• Must hold at least one (1) alumni event per year
• Must have coach(es) or instructor(s) certified and/or have documented training as determined by the  Sport Clubs Organization
• Only Clubs in Tier 5 must satisfy ALL the following criteria:
• Must complete at least 350 hours of community service per year
• Must complete at least three (3) off-campus community service/philanthropic events per year
• Must complete at least one (1) community service/philanthropic event per semester
