1. What is Hire@TU?
Hire@TU is a searchable online database full of job and internship
opportunities. Use it to search for part-time, full-time, on- or
off-campus positions.

2. What should I choose as my "Applicant Type" when
submitting my profile?
The "Applicant Type" you select tells Hire@TU what kind of job you are
looking for; for example, if you are looking for an internship, then
choose internship from the list of Applicant Type's. You can select more
than one Applicant Type by holding down the Control Key on your keyboard
while you click your selections.

3. How do I select my major in the "Demographic
Information" section of my profile?
Click the Add/Remove button just below the majors box
A new window will open
Click the plus sign [+] next to All Majors to display the Colleges
Click the plus sign [+] next to your college to display particular
majors
Click the box next to your major to place a check mark [P]
in it
Scroll to the bottom of the window and click the Close Window button
You should see your major listed on your profile

4. How do I apply for on-campus interviews?
Login to
your
Hire@TU account
Click on My
Account
Click
Schedules Tab
Click
Qualified Schedules (Make sure your Profile is filled out COMPLETELY to
ensure the best results)
Select the
job to apply for by clicking on the schedule ID#
Click on
"Request An Interview"- if your resume is uploaded in
Hire@TU it will be sent
Resumes
will be reviewed one week prior to the interview date - if you are
accepted, you will receive an email with instructions on how to sign up
for an interview slot

5. Am I required to upload my resume?
The short answer is no, but some jobs are set up so that the only way
you can apply is to submit your resume through Hire@TU. Also, we require
you to upload your resume in order to participate in the OCR program

Select My
Account from the main bar
Select My
Documents
Click
Upload Files - the uploaded file will appear in the Document Manager
To upload
additional documents, select Upload Files
Name the
document and browse to select file

Hire@TU account
Visit The
Career Center website at
http://www.towson.edu/careercenter
Click on
Hire@TU in the "Quick Links" area
Select the
Create an Account link on the home page and follow the instructions to
create an account

8. How do I search for jobs and internships?
Create
and/or access your
Hire@TU account
Select Jobs
form the main menu bar
Use
Keyword**, Position Type or Job Category to search for positions (**
Default is to search by 1st word)
To search
for employer keywords, type the % sign before the employer's name
Click on
Job ID# to review position and application instructions
Make sure
you fill in all positions you are interested in under Applicant Type in
your Profile to ensure the best results
