Employers post internships for a variety of majors on Hire@TU. Your Hire@TU account also connects you to Internships.com, which is useful if you are searching for internships beyond the Baltimore metropolitan area. The Career Center also provides an extensive list of online resources that helps students identify internships and jobs according to their field of interest. Visit the resource library in the Career Center to find print publications that relate to your major and research company information on resources such as Career Insider.
Networking and informational interviewing: think about personal contacts, family members, friends, neighbors, service providers, current or past employers, faculty who may know people in jobs or careers that interest you; start with the Career Mentor Database
If you find an internship on your own and want to know if you can earn credit for the experience ask your employer to submit the internship description via Hire@TU. You then can print a copy of the position description and submit it to the academic department internship coordinator for review/approval.
