College of Business & Economics
The undergraduate accounting program provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to transition into a professional career in accounting in a variety of settings. It is also designed for students who wish to prepare for the CPA examination and enter the public accounting profession by completing the master’s degree in accounting and business advisory services.
For students interested in becoming a CPA, the department's 5-year program combines the undergraduate and graduate degrees to meet the 150-hour eligibility criteria. Students take two graduate-level courses in their senior year and complete the eight remaining courses in the master’s program in two semesters, attending on a full-time basis. Students can also elect to complete the master's on a part-time basis while working.
