As part of the Business Excellence program, the Professional Experience course (BUSX 460) focuses on a successful transition from classroom to career. All students complete an internship while concurrently enrolled in the course. Through self-assessment, students develop a portfolio that demonstrates their knowledge, skills and attitudes and their commitment to lifelong career development.

To enroll in the Professional Experience (BUSX 460) course, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Senior standing (at least 90 units)
  • Completion of the following courses: BUSX 301, FIN331, MNGT 361, and MKTG 341
  • Successful completion of an information session

Enrollment in the course is contingent upon approval of the student’s internship.

Internship approval deadlines for Professional Experience spring 2013-fall 2013.

May 8: Deadline to have internships approved for summer 2013 term

Aug. 7: Deadline to have internships approved for fall 2013 term

Information Sessions

March 7: 2-3 p.m.

March 11: 9-10 a.m.

March 29: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

April 3: 12:30-1:30 p.m.

April 16: 2-3 p.m.

May 2: 10-11 a.m.

All information sessions take place in Stephens Hall Room 310.
