Students enroll in BUSX 460 online, just like any other course. Refer to Towson Online Services for your enrollment date. To enroll in the Professional Experience (BUSX 460) course, students must meet the following criteria:
Keep in mind the BUSX 460 internship requirements when conducting your search. It is important that you start this process early by submitting your application to several openings. Don’t apply to just one internship and hope that it will work out with that company. Be proactive! Take advantage of the numerous university and college resources available to assist you in your search.

Distributed by the college, the Career e-Newsletter provides a listing of available approved internships. Not receiving the Career e-Newsletter? Contact Lisa Michocki at busx460@towson.edu.
Career Center
Students should also use the Career Center as a resource. Students can meet with Career Center counselors or use the Hire@TU database to find internships.
Career Insider
The Career Insider is an online resource which provides access to full-text industry guides, employer profiles and reviews, sample resumes, career videos and much more.

The Director of Professional Experience is available to discuss additional ways to find internship opportunities. To schedule an appointment email busx460@towson.edu.
Students also have the option of finding an internship on their own. Be sure to use your network to find out about openings.
Students must have their internships for BUSX 460 approved by the Director of Professional Experience, Lisa Michocki. Her office is located in Stephens Hall, room 301A. Students must provide an internship job description on company letterhead and a completed Internship Approval form.
Students are required to complete the first homework assignment by the first day of class for the semester. Any student that does not complete it will receive a deduction from the final grade (no exceptions).
Attendance at all seven class sessions for the BUSX 460 is mandatory. Students are encouraged to check the class schedule for the course in advance to ensure attendance. Only an excused absence (hospitalization of student or death in the family) is acceptable. Students who miss more than one class will receive a failing grade for the class.
International students must contact the International Student and Scholar Office prior to beginning this process to ensure that they are aware of all permit requirements.
