Business Administration Major: Project Management and Business Analysis Concentration

The project management and business analysis (PMBA) concentration is a rigorous program that addresses the needs and desires of stakeholders in today's globally integrated and technology-driven business environment. Program Highlights

• The concentration incorporates the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge. The PMI is a prestigious project management certification organization. Completion of this concentration provides students with the knowledge needed to take the exam to obtain the "Certified Associate in Project Management ©" offered by the Project Management Institute.
• Students interested in Six Sigma Quality can enhance their competitiveness through certification such as Six Sigma Green Belt Certification offered by the American Society for Quality.
• Students interested in enhancing their credentials can also take the Business Analyst certification exam offered by the International Institute for Business Analysis.
• Towson University has partnered with the American Society for the Advancement of Project Management (ASAPM) to offer Towson Students the ability to obtain an industry certification in the form of the SCiPM Certificate

Applying to the Major

Admission to the business administration major with the project management and business analysis concentration is selective. Students are admitted to the major on a competitive basis after first being admitted to the university. Before applying to the business administration major students must first declare a “pre-Business Administration” major and complete the lower-level prerequisites and other requirements. Students are required to meet with their faculty adviser each term to evaluate their progress in completing the requirements for admission to the major.
