Combined Major in Electronic Business and Business Administration

The combined major in Electronic Business and Business Administration requires a minimum of 125 units to be earned with a grade equivalent of 2.00 or higher. The program consists of 21 units of lower level required courses, 33 units of upper-level BUAD required courses, 18 units of upper-level e-Business courses as well as the University Core curriculum. In addition, students complete 15 credits in one of the following three concentrations/tracks:
  1. Management Concentration, or
  2. Marketing Concentration, or
  3. Project Management and Business Analysis Track

Note: These requirements are for the latest catalog year of AY 2011-2012. If your catalog year is different, please refer to your specific catalog to understand their requirements. You may also refer to the correct advising form for your catalog year available at All Advising Forms.

Students who belong to earlier catalog years can still consider a double major in e-Business & Business Administration.

Requirements for Admission to the Combined Major in Electronic Business and Business Administration


Students are admitted to the combined major in Electronic Business and Business Administration on a competitive basis after first being admitted to the University. Admission to the university does not guarantee admission to the combined major. Each term, the Department of e-Business & Technology Management considers applications for admission to the major for the following term. In order to be admitted to the major, students must satisfy specific screening requirements and complete an application form. To be eligible for admission to the combined major, students must meet the following screening requirements: complete each of the seven lower-level required courses with a grade equivalent of 2.00 or higher, a minimum average GPA of 2.7 for ALL seven lower-level courses, and pass the CBE Computer Proficiency Exam.

Degree candidates intending to pursue the combined major in Electronic Business and Business Administration are designated as "pre-e-Business" (PEBU) and "pre-business" (PBUA) or until admitted into the majors. Students are required to meet each term with their assigned faculty adviser to evaluate their progress in completing the requirements for admission to the major and the degree.

Admission Requirements
Candidates for the double major in e-Business and Business Administration must satisfy the admission requirements for the e-Business and Business Administration majors.

Application Procedure

Students who meet the admission requirements at the end of the term must complete an Application for Admission to the BUAD major before registering for upper-level "majors-only" CBE courses (BUSX, EBTM, ECON, FIN, LEGL, MKTG, and MNGT). The forms are available in the CBE Student Academic Services office, Stephens Hall, Room 301.

Candidates for the combined major in e-Business and Business Administration must satisfy the requirements for the e-Business major. The form for admission into the e-Business major is available by clicking on the link below or in the CBE Student Academic Services office, Stephens Hall, Room 301.
