College of Business & Economics
Students who major in business administration with a concentration in finance are prepared for positions in the industries of managerial finance, banking, insurance and securities. The program is designed to teach students how to apply financial tools to investments, as well as make personal financial decisions.
Students in this program complete the requirements for the business administration major and 21 units in finance.
Admission to the business administration major is selective. Students are admitted to the major on a competitive basis after first being admitted to the university. Before applying to the business administration major students must first declare a “Pre-Business Administration” major and complete the lower-level prerequisites and other requirements. Students are required to meet with their faculty adviser each term to evaluate their progress in completing the requirements for admission to the major.
