BuSX 460
Understanding the Process
BUSX 460 Registration Procedures
1. Enroll in the course
NEW AND IMPROVED!!! Effective with the fall 2012 semester, students are now able to enroll in BUSX 460 online just like any other course. This eliminates the need to stand in line and reserve a seat. Refer to your online services for your enrollment date.
2. Internship Approval
Students must have their internships approved only by the Director of Professional Experience, Lisa Michocki, Stephens Hall, room 301E. Students must provide the Director of Professional Experience with an internship job description on company letterhead and completed internship approval form. Trouble finding an internship? Check out these tips!
Your enrollment in the course is contingent upon approval of your internship (deadline to have fall internships approved is August 8, 2012). If you do not have an internship approved by this date, you will have 24 hours before being removed from the course. This means that your internship needs to be approved, not turned in by August 8. Please note the difference.
3. First Homework Assignment
Students are required to complete the first homework assignment by the first day of class for the semester. Any student that does not complete it will receive a deduction from the final grade (no exceptions).
Note: Since only seven sessions for each BUSX 460 course are held, attendance to all classes are mandatory. Students are encouraged to check the class schedule for the course in advance to ensure attendance. Only an excused absence (hospitalization of student or death in the family) is acceptable. Students that miss more than one class will receive a failing grade for the class.
International students must contact the International Student and Scholar Office prior to beginning this process to ensure that they are notified of all permit requirements.
