College of Business & Economics
The study of management is designed to provide a head start to students who aspire to lead enterprises, both big and small, rather than work in functional areas of business, such as finance, marketing or operations.
The management curriculum helps individuals make the transition from specialist to generalist; from analyst to integrator; from tactician to strategist; and from a team/organizational member to a leader. Management education at Towson University is more than learning business formulas, theories and principles. It subscribes to the vision that successful enterprise leadership is achieved when the leader is seen as being authentic, with passion for self-discovery and growth.
The requirements for the business administration major with the management concentration include 21 units of lower-level required courses, 33 units of upper-level business required courses, and 21 units of management courses. All major requirements must be completed with a GPA of 2.00 or higher.
