Can I rename a .img
file extension to .iso?
Yes. Some
CD writing software may require an .iso file extension rather than the
provided .img file extension, in which case it is safe to rename.
Are there any other
methods for acquiring available software?
Software is
only being offered for download through the ELMS web site.
Can't remember your
password?
Users can
go to the ELMS login page and request that the original password be
sent.
I got an error when
trying to download my software. What does it mean?
SDC00100
- Unable to find source CD (expecting to find SDC file on local CD)
SDC00200 - General error, can caused by:
(a) Insufficient space to unpack or
(b) Disk error.
SDC00300 - Unable to read from media can be caused by:
(a) Unable to connect to network resource (Network
Install)
(b) Unable to read CD (for secure CD based install)
SDC00400 - Unable to complete the download can be
caused by:
(a) No internet connection found
(b) Internet connection lost
(c) Firewall or proxy server between client station and
hosting location
(d) Insufficient disk space to download
SDC00500 - CRC check failed, the package is corrupt and
unusable can be caused by:
(a) Incomplete transfer
(b) Corruption during transfer
(c) Corrupt package on host server
ERROR 70072 - Install limit has been reached caused by:
(a) Customer has attempted download too many times to
different folders (possibly no
downloads successfully)
(b) Customer has already successfully
download/installed the software, and now wants to
download again
Can I download
software on one computer and install it on another?
Yes. You
can download software to any computer you want but make sure there is a
means of moving that software once it is
downloaded (i.e. CD burner) since you will only be able to
download the software product once. For further questions,refer to the
'Student Use Guidelines.'
