Lecture Series

The CBE lecture series, hosted by the Center for Applied Business and Economic Research (CABER), features innovative and well-known members of the community that visit TU's campus to share knowledge on select "hot topics" in business.  The lecture series is open to members of the campus and business community.

Seven Revolutions: Scanning the World Out to 2025

Join us as noted researcher, forecaster, and speaker Erik Peterson provides his take on global trends up to the year 2025 in an era of economic and political transformation.

Past lecture series events have included:

"Ethical Decisions in a Hyper-Competitive World: Making Sense of Life's Daily Dilemmas," featuring noted sports agent and attorney Ron Shapiro, who explained the finer points of negotiation.

"Are Entrepreneurs Made or Born?" featuring a debate between John Gartner, author of The Hypomanic Edge: The Link Between (a little) Craziness in America and (A Lot of) Success in America, and Lloyd Shefsky, author of Entrepreneurs are Made Not Born.

"Life is a Relational Experience: Civility, Ethics and Quality of Life," featuring P.M. Forni, author and director of The Civility Initiative at The Johns Hopkins University, who discussed the importance of being courteous in the work place.
