Towson University offers a number of resources specifically for international graduate students.

Graduate Admissions for International Students: For information on applying to one of Towson’s graduate programs, please visit International Graduate Admissions. You will find all the information you need to begin the process of applying to the university.

International Student and Scholar Office: This office is an important resource for international students as it provides assistance with documents, services and various programs to ensure the success of Towson’s international population. Preparing for the GMAT and GRE
All graduate degree programs in the College of Business and Economics require you to take the GMAT or the GRE. Please check the individual program pages for specific GMAT or GRE requirements.

About the test The GMAT is for those interested in applying to a business school or management education program. The test is made up of 4 sections: Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal. The GRE is designed to demonstrate that you, the student, is prepared for graduate-level studies. It is comprised of 3 sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing

Course Schedules
For a look at course schedules for available terms, please consult the individual program pages. Make sure you check the course schedules frequently prior to registration as they are subject to change.

Taking Graduate Courses at Other USM Schools
Students admitted to graduate programs are eligible to take courses at other University System of Maryland schools on a space-available basis (with the exception of University of Maryland University College – UMUC, which does not participate in inter-institutional enrollment).

Graduate students seeking to take classes at other universities must complete the UB/Towson MABAS Inter-Institutional Enrollment Form (PDF) and the Graduate IIR Addendum Form (PDF). Learn more about Inter-Institutional Enrollment from Towson University’s Office of the Registrar.

Resources for Current Graduate Students

Graduate Assistantships: The Graduate Assistantship Program at Towson offers a limited number of graduate assistantships to qualified individuals each year. For information on available positions, qualifications and applying, please visit Graduate Assistantships.

Tutorial Services: Through the Office of Graduate Studies, graduate students can seek assistance in their studies with services such as The Writing Lab and statistics tutoring. Learn more about   Student Resources.

Graduate Student Association: The GSA serves as the voice of the graduate population at Towson. In addition to addressing needs and concerns of graduate students, the association hosts various events throughout the year.

Parking: All Towson students are required to display a valid parking permit. To acquire a permit, you must be registered at Towson. You can find more information through Parking and Transportation Services or contact them at upark@towson.edu.

Student IDs: The OneCard is the official Towson University ID card. It provides access to many university services: library privileges at Cook Library, use of the university's athletic facilities, free or reduced-priced tickets at Towson University cultural and athletic events, access to recreational facilities and a free e-mail account through the Office of Technology Services. With two debit spending accounts, the OneCard provides cashless access to goods and services campus wide.
