Academic Advising
Students are
required to meet with an assigned adviser each term to discuss their program and for assistance in making any necessary changes in their course of study.
CBE Writing Proficiency Program
Writing Consultants are available to help students refine their business writing through critique and consultation.
Comprehensive Test of Core Business Knowledge
All Accounting, Business Administration and e-Business majors are required to take the Comprehensive Test of Core Business Knowledge as part of MNGT 481, Business Strategy. The results of the exam serve as 10 percent of the final grade received in MNGT 481.
Internships
Our students have many opportunities to apply their business acumen through internships at area business, government, and nonprofit organizations, including McCormick & Co., Black & Decker, PricewaterhouseCooopers, T.Rowe Price, the Baltimore Museum of Industry, Northrop Grumman, KPMG, Morgan Stanley, Marriott International, Provident Bank, and many more.
Scholarships
The college offers many scholarship opportunities, which have changed the lives of many students, leading them to successful paths to becoming leaders in the work force.
Student Organizations
The college's student organizations are active in linking the college with the community. Towson University's chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), has received international recognition including the Medallion for Entrepreneurship, the Gold Chapter Award and the Business Achievement Award.
