CPR for the Professional Rescuer with Automated External
Defibrillator Skills (One or Two Rescuer CPR for
Adults, Infant and Child) This advanced-level course is
designed for those with a job-related duty to act in an
emergency situation (law enforcement officials, lifeguards,
health care professionals). Participants learn how to care
for breath and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants and
children, perform one-and two-rescuer CPR techniques and/or
use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to restart the
heart of cardiac arrest victim, and and learn how to use a
resuscitation mask and bag-valve mask.

First Aid This course trains participants to identify
and care for victims of illness and sudden injuries. You
will learn how to control bleeding, minimize the effects of
shock, and care for musculoskeletal injuries and sudden
illness due to poisoning and heat and cold related
emergencies. PLEASE NOTE: This course does not include Adult
CPR. If you need rescue breathing, choking and/or CPR, see

First Responder (Emergency Response) This course
meets/exceeds all of the D.O.T. curriculum standards for
First Responder Certification. You will be eligible for
reciprocity, upon receiving a passing score on the State of
MD exam, to receive state certification as a First

knowledge and skills necessary to work as a first responder
in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain and
minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until

safety brigades or teams, police, fire fighters, and
anyone who may be responsible for care before advanced

Wilderness First Aid This course is designed to teach
first aid skills and knowledge for setting in which
emergency care is delayed for long periods, or self
evacuation is necessary. Learn adult CPR, how to identify
causes of injuries and ways injuries can be prevented in
wilderness areas. Gain experience providing wilderness first
aid through the means of scenarios and simulated rescures
