Adult CPR
Adult CPR deals with victims twelve years of age or older. This course covers all cardiac and breathing emergency skills, including how to perform RESCUE BREATHING, clear an obstructed airway and one rescuer CPR. You may also take Adult, Child and Infant CPR to satisfy the adult CPR requirement.

Adult CPR & First Aid
Learn rescue breathing, how to clear an obstructed airway, and how to perform one-rescuer CPR on victims twelve years of age or older. Course also includes basic first aid skills such as how to treat life-threatening bleeding, burns, musculoskeletal injuries, and sudden illness.

Adult CPR w/First Aid & Automated External Defibrillator Skills
The purpose of this course is to give individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses. Teaches adult CPR and use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) to restart the heart of a cardiac arrest victim until advance medical personnel arrive and take over.

Adult CPR with Automated External Defibrillator Skills
Teaches how to recognize and care for breathing emergencies in adults and how to perform one-rescuer CPR and/or use an Automated External Defibrillators (AED) to restart the heart of a cardiac arrest victim. Includes emergency action principles, rescue breathing, response procedures for choking, cardiopulmonary resuscitation for adults and AED training.

Adult, Child and Infant CPR
This comprehensive CPR course provides training for use with adult, infant and child victims in a variety of emergency situations. Skills include performing rescue breathing, clearing an obstructed airway, and performing one-rescuer CPR. You will also discuss cardiovascular disease and injury prevention.

Child and Infant CPR
This course is indispensable for anyone who is in frequent contact with infants and children. The course focuses on overcoming any reluctance to act in an emergency situation and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in children under the age of twelve. Child and Infant CPR and First Aid
This course is designed to train parents and caregivers to overcome reluctance to act during emergency situations involving children under the age of twelve. Learn rescue breathing, how to clear an obstructed airway, one-rescuer CPR, first aid for choking victims, how to control bleeding, and how to treat common injuries.   • Ideal for: Family day care providers, teachers and personnel of child care centers, school-based child care programs, and parents.

CPR for the Professional Rescuer with
Automated External Defibrillator Skills

(One or Two Rescuer CPR for Adults, Infant and Child) This advanced-level course is designed for those with a job-related duty to act in an emergency situation (law enforcement officials, lifeguards, health care professionals). Participants learn how to care for breath and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants and children, perform one-and two-rescuer CPR techniques and/or use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to restart the heart of cardiac arrest victim, and and learn how to use a resuscitation mask and bag-valve mask.

  • Length of course: 8 hours

First Aid
This course trains participants to identify and care for victims of illness and sudden injuries. You will learn how to control bleeding, minimize the effects of shock, and care for musculoskeletal injuries and sudden illness due to poisoning and heat and cold related emergencies. PLEASE NOTE: This course does not include Adult CPR. If you need rescue breathing, choking and/or CPR, see other CPR courses.

  • Length of course: 4 hours

First Responder (Emergency Response)
This course meets/exceeds all of the D.O.T. curriculum standards for First Responder Certification. You will be eligible for reciprocity, upon receiving a passing score on the State of MD exam, to receive state certification as a First Responder. This course will train individuals in the knowledge and skills necessary to work as a first responder in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until more advanced medical help arrives. >NOTE:This class meets 10 days.   • Ideal for: Suitable for coaches, industrial safety brigades or teams, police, fire fighters, and anyone who may be responsible for care before advanced help can arrive. It can also offer a firm grounding in basic knowledge for those planning to go into more advances EMS training.
    NOTE:This class meets 10 days. Additional dates are above.
  • Length of course: 44 hours
  • Cost: $225.00

Wilderness First Aid
This course is designed to teach first aid skills and knowledge for setting in which emergency care is delayed for long periods, or self evacuation is necessary. Learn adult CPR, how to identify causes of injuries and ways injuries can be prevented in wilderness areas. Gain experience providing wilderness first aid through the means of scenarios and simulated rescures that test knowledge and skills.
