Resources for Students

The College of Health Professions offers many campus resources that support undergraduate and graduate student learning and success. "Smart" classrooms are equipped with a full range of multimedia capabilities. Each Department in the College houses its own computer and clinical laboratories and often uses clinical simulations and state-of-the-art equipment.

Students have access to a wide array of learning resources and supports within the College and University. University resources provide support for academic life, technology, safety and housing, and financial aid guidance. Students completing their degrees often seek career guidance from the University's Career Center.

Outside the classroom, students have internship opportunities at more than 300 health care and sport-related agencies in the greater Baltimore region, including Johns Hopkins Hospital, University of Maryland Hospital, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Towson Sports Medicine, and with the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles.

Academic Advising

Students are encouraged to meet with an adviser and the placement coordinator in their department to discuss degree requirements, internships, clinical experiences and field placements.

 Student Organizations

In addition to classes and internships, clinicals and student-teaching experiences, you'll have opportunities to join student groups with your classmates, and get involved. You can participate in the Maryland Senior Olympics, Race for the Cure, Healthfest, marathon events and scholarship days.
