Bio
Salvatore M. Zumbo, Ph.D., came to Towson University in August of 1989, and was appointed Chair of the Modern Languages Department in 1998. He is a full professor. He earned his Ph.D. in Italian and Spanish Languages & Literatures in 1977 from the University of Arizona, and his BA & MA from the University of Akron. Dr. Zumbo has courses on Golden Age, 19th century prose, poetry and Theatre and early 20th century narrative in Peninsular Spanish Lit., as well as language courses in Spanish and Italian. His current field of research is focused on the Italian and Spanish Renaissance Pastoral. His recent publications include "Destruir es crear: Conexión pastoril en Boccaccio y Cervantes."
