ADMISSION AND SCREENING

Speech and Hearing

A speech and hearing screening is required of all education majors. This screening is offered each semester on campus the second week of the spring and fall semesters. No appointment is necessary. The screening is required to make sure there is no speech impediment or hearing loss that will affect your success in the classroom. If a problem is found, there will be time for you to receive assistance to correct it. If you miss the scheduled screening you can get a screening form in Hawkins Hall, Room 303 and take it either to your own physician or a hearing assessment center off campus.
