Department of Instructional Leadership and Professional Development
The best schools have
the best leaders. Towson University's Department of
Instructional Leadership and Professional Development is focused
on improving schools by providing effective instructional leaders
who facilitate active learning. It is expected that graduates of
our degree programs will be agents of change demonstrating
commitment to enhancing the profession, caring for the success
of all students, and collaborating to create learning
communities where all are respected and encouraged to
participate. These beliefs are inherent in the programs and
infused in the coursework preparing supervisors, assistant
principals and principals in keeping with state and national
accreditation standards. It is our belief that we will be
creating the best schools by preparing the best instructional
leaders.
