Jane Neapolitan

Professor and Department Chair

Dr. Jane Neapolitan is Professor and Department Chair of Instructional Leadership and Professional Development. A former high school English teacher, she has served as faculty, clinical supervisor, and administrator in teacher education for more than 25 years. Her area of interest is research and evaluation of professional development schools (PDS), a special school-university-community partnership for the clinical preparation of new teachers and the ongoing professional development of teachers and administrators. She is Guest Editor of the 2011 NSSE Yearbook, Taking Stock of Professional Development Schools: What's Needed Now, published by Teachers College Record..
