Dr. Marilyn Nicholas is
Professor Emeritus in the College of Education. Her
prior experiences with Towson University have included
teaching and supervising internships with preservice
Elementary Education teachers in Baltimore City, serving
as Director of the Center for Professional Practice, and
coordinating the successful graduate program for
retaining teachers through "Teach for Tomorrow." Dr.
Nicholas' specialties are instructional supervision,
mentoring and human relations. She has served as Faculty
Advisor for Towson University's honor society for
educators, Kappa Delta PI, and has served on university,
state and national boards for the Association for
Teacher Education (ATE), Souther Regional Associate for Teacher Education (SRATE) and Maryland Association for
Teacher Education (MATE). Dr. Nicholas earned her
doctorate at George Washington University.
