Checklist of Pre-requisites and Degree Requirements
The left column of the checklist (PDF file below) outlines the pre-requisites required to be accepted into the Integrated Elementary/Special Education Dual Certification Program at the HEAT Center. Students receiving an AAT from Harford Community or Cecil College will have the majority of the required pre-requisites. Students not receiving an AAT or students who are transferring credits from other colleges should have their transcripts evaluated by an admissions officer at Towson University after applying to the program to determine outstanding pre-requisites. Harford Community and Cecil College students not receiving the AAT and applying through credit count, should work with their advisor to ensure the correct pre-requisite courses are being taken. Advisors at either college will be able to assist with selecting the correct course equivalents.
The right column of the checklist outlines the full-time program and the course sequence to be taken after acceptance into the professional program.
