School System Partnerships
Anne Arundel County
The Towson Learning Network works in partnership with the Anne Arundel County School System to provide programs and courses that focus on the goals of the school system and the professional development needs of pre- and in-service teachers.
The following programs are offered: Early Childhood Education (M.Ed.), School Library Media (M.S.), and single courses at Professional Development Schools.
Admission to Graduate Programs
If you are enrolling in a master's degree program and have not attended the Towson University Graduate School for the last three years, you must complete a Graduate School application and send any additional materials required by the specific program to the Towson University Graduate School. You will be instructed by the Graduate School or TLN if this is necessary to complete. All applicants will be activated as non-degree seeking students. Once you have completed your Graduate School application, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to activate your Towson University account and e-mail address.
Registration
Registration information and forms are e-mailed or mailed directly to students. No online registrationsare required nor accepted.
Registration forms are available upon request to Kippi Sutphen at ksutphen@towson.edu.
Tuition and Reimbursement
You will receive an electronic bill from the Bursar’s Office for a non-refundable, non-reimbursable closed contract fee for each course for which you are registered. A late fee will be assessed if the bill is not paid by the due date If you need further information concerning your e-bill due date, go to www.towson.edu/adminfinance/fiscalplanning/bursar/paymentinformation/billschedule. There, you will find a schedule of e-bill access dates and due dates.
Each school system has a separate partnership agreement with Towson University based on its negotiated rate of reimbursement. Typically the school system is billed directly for your tuition; however, in some circumstances you may receive a tuition bill from the Bursar’s Office. This bill must be paid by the due date. Unpaid bills will be assessed late fees. You may seek reimbursement directly from your school system.
-
Your school system will not pay for your tuition if you receive a grade that does not meet your school system’s reimbursement requirements, if you receive a grade of I (incomplete), or if you receive grade of FX. Instead, you will be responsible for the non-refundable, non-reimbursable closed contract fee and tuition.
-
Your school system will not pay your tuition if you exceed their reimbursable credit limit. If you exceed your school system’s reimbursable credit limit, you are responsible for the closed contract fee and reduced tuition.
-
If your school or school system does not have a partnership agreement with Towson University, your tuition will not be paid by your school system, and you are responsible for the closed contract fee and tuition.
-
Tuition and closed contract fees are subject to increase.
If you are taking courses for certification purposes, check with your local school system or Maryland State Department of Education certification personnel to ensure that you are registering for the course you need.
Grades and Transcripts
If you need a copy of your grades to submit for reimbursement, you can receive them through Towson Online Services. You can get information about requesting official transcripts from the Registrar's Office.
