Elementary Education/Gifted Education Program
Towson University offers this 4-course cohort in Gifted Education in partnership with the Baltimore County Public Schools. The purposes of the cohort are to focus elementary and middle school teachers on gifted education and to provide electives in the Master of Education for Elementary and Middle School teachers. The courses include:
Educating the Gifted
Differentiating Instruction for all Learners
Critical and Creative Thinking
Social and Emotional Development of Gifted Children
All courses are offered off-campus in local BCPS schools at reduced tuition based on school system's reimbursement rate. Students will be billed $100 closed contract fee and the school system will be directly billed for the reduced tuition. The current cohort begins in Spring, 2010 and will end in Spring, 2011..
