College of Fine Arts and Communication

Departments and Programs

The College of Fine Arts and Communication offers undergraduate and graduate programs through the departments of Art, Dance, Electronic Media and Film, Mass Communication and Communication Studies, Music, and Theatre Arts.

In addition, the college offers a variety of arts-enrichment programs for children and adults through the Children's Dance Division, Maryland Performing Arts Institute, the Community Art Center and the Asian Arts & Culture Center.

The college's Arts Integration Institute is a collaborative effort to infuse arts instruction across the curriculum. Dedicated to deepening student learning and appreciation for the arts, while raising student achievement, the institute offers a post-baccalaureate certificate in arts integration for practicing classroom teachers, fine arts specialists, administrators and teaching-artists.

The MARYLAND PERFORMING ARTS INSTITUTE (MPAI) was formerly known as Towson University Music Preparatory Division. The Division was established in 1983 to provide non-credit instruction for children and adults of all ages. Contact Edward Berlett for more information.
