Students in the College of Fine Arts and Communication become performers, teachers, artists, graphic designers, musicians, journalists and public relations practitioners. The key to their success is a professional education within a liberal arts tradition.
In fall 2005, the college moved into the newly renovated and expanded Center for the Arts – 300,000 square feet of space devoted to students in art, dance, music and theatre. Other buildings house journalism laboratories, TV studios and production labs, digital media studios and student-run
WMJF-TV.
As a recognized fine arts center for Maryland, the college enhances communication and the fine and performing arts. Each year we contribute to the cultural life of Towson and greater Baltimore by offering more than 400 performances, exhibitions, film and video screenings, debates, lectures and workshops. More than 100,000 people attend college-sponsored events each year.
