Minutes from General Meeting, Tuesday, October 16, 2007

All 4 Committee members were present
18 people attended

-Co-Organizer, Heather Kangas began the meeting by reminding everyone about the fundraising opportunity this Wednesday that will help us with a lot of finances.

-Co-Organizer, Sean Lawlor then spoke about the trip to Philadelphia. He reminded everyone about the email that he sent out with all of the final information. He also reminded everyone that the trip is this weekend and anyone should email him if they still want to go or have any problems.

-Secretary, Rachel Alexander then spoke about Light the Night. She reminded everyone that it is this Friday and sent around the sing-in sheet one final time. She then gave more information about the ZooBoo event and asked people to write on the sign-in sheet what day was best for them, Saturday or Sunday.

-Brian Ward then went over the Iraq War Week of Action that the Iraq War Committee is organizing.

-Rachel Fauber then spoke about an event called Power Shift. It is a big event for environmental activism and she is encouraging as many people to go as possible.

-Greg Mazur then spoke about the demonstration for the Algebra Project that will be this weekend. He also informed everyone that there will be a Radical Book Fair in the area this weekend for anyone that is interested.

-Finally, Tracey Miller reminded everyone that there will be two speakers from the Catonsville Nine on camus and that it will be a great experience, so everyone should try to hear them speak about activism.

The organization then split up into the different Committees for the remainder of the meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 pm. The next one is scheduled for October 23, 2007.
