Academic Information
Congratulations on your pending graduation! Here are a few reminders about what needs to be done to make sure degree requirements are completed.
- Undergraduates should confer with their major adviser to make sure
all major requirements are complete, or are in the process of being
completed.
- Confer and confirm with the Academic Advising Center that all general
education and standard requirements have or will be completed.
(Minimum of 120 credits, 2.00 GPA, and 32 upper level credits)
- Double check your academic record for transfer credit totals, repeated
courses and incompletes. Check with Academic Advising about how
to address any problems.
- You must apply for graduation in order to graduate
and participate in the commencement ceremonies.
Latin Honors Policy
Message to Students, Faculty and Staff from Dr. Marcia Welsh, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs (as of Spring 2010).
Beginning with December 2010 graduates the new Latin Honors will be awarded to the top ten percent of the graduating class. This will be determined based on the calculated grade point average of a students final 60 units completed at Towson University. Please note that due to Latin Honors being percentage based they will not be recognized at commencement, but will appear on the diploma. For more information please see the link below:
