Directions, Maps and Parking
All Commencement ceremonies take place on the Towson University campus in the Towson Center. Information about Commencement Day parking is provided here, along with directions to Towson University and a link to the campus map. If you have questions or need additional information about parking, visit the Parking and Transportation Services Web site, or call 410-704-3515.
Commencement Day Parking Information
If you are attending one of the ceremonies, please expect heavy traffic
throughout the day starting at 8 a.m. Towson Center parking lots 19, 20 and 21 will be restricted to graduates
who have a Commencement day permit.
Towson Center parking lots 13 and 14 will be available for guest parking.
No permits will be required for these lots. Shuttle buses will run continuously
between lots 13 and 14 and the Towson Center to transport guests from
the parking areas. The shuttle buses will run 1.5 hours before and after
each ceremony.
Individuals with Disabilities - Parking for those with disabilities
will be available in lot 21. In order to utilize these parking spaces,
a valid state issued handicapped permit or license plate must be displayed.
All parking areas on the main campus will be open and available to anyone
wishing to park on the core campus.
Individuals who arrive at later times may be directed to parking spaces
on the main campus.
Limited shuttle service will be provided to the main campus throughout
the day. Regular shuttle routes will not be in operation.
Directions to Campus
By Automobile
From I-95 (northbound and southbound): Take the Baltimore Beltway I-695 west (toward Towson). Take exit 25, Charles Street, south. Proceed approximately 1.7 miles. Turn left on Towsontown Boulevard and proceed to the first stoplight. Turn right onto Osler and follow Commencement signs.
From I-83 (northbound and southbound): Take the Baltimore Beltway I-695 east (toward Towson). Take exit 25, Charles Street, south. Proceed approximately 1.7 miles. Turn left on Towsontown Boulevard and proceed to the first stoplight. Turn right onto Osler and follow Commencement signs.
From I-70 (eastbound): Take the Baltimore Beltway I-695 north (toward Towson). Take exit 25, Charles Street, south. Proceed approximately 1.7 miles. Turn left on Towsontown Boulevard and proceed to the first stoplight. Turn right onto Osler and follow Commencement signs.
From Baltimore (Penn Station): Proceed north on Charles Street for five miles. Turn right on Towsontown Boulevard and proceed to the first stoplight. Turn right onto Osler and follow Commencement signs.
By Train
Amtrak serves Pennsylvania Station in Baltimore City. The MTA Bus #11 (to Goucher College) runs between Penn Station and the Bosley/Allegheny Ave. intersection a few blocks from the TU campus, Monday through Friday. On weekends, visitors returning to Penn Station from Towson can take MTA Bus #9 and transfer to either the Light Rail or Bus #3 to reach the station.
By Airplane
The closest airport to Towson University is Baltimore Washington International (BWI). Approximate travel time (non-rush hour) between BWI and the University is 45 minutes. An Airport Shuttle runs between BWI the Towson Sheraton.
