The New Music Ensemble at Towson University

The New Music  Ensemble at Towson presented two concert events this season.

n Monday November 3, 2014 at 8:15 PM in the  Center for the Arts
Kaplan Concert Hall, the New Music Ensemble presented a concert of music by celebrated American composer George Crumb and his son David Crumb.  Pianist Christopher Dillon will perform the third piece from David Crumb's Red Desert Triptych. Mezzo soprano Leneida Crawford will perform George Crumb's Madrigals Books 1 and 2 and baritone Phillip Collister will perform his Songs Drones and Refrains of Death.


    




On Tuesday February 17, 2015 at 8:15 PM in the Center for the Arts Recital Hall, the NME presented Lisa Cella performing new works for flute with media artist Stephen Bradley.  The program included compositions by Christopher Adler, Adam Greene,
Christopher Burns, Nicolas Tzortzis, Stuart Saunders Smith, and Matthew Burtner.
