| New Music Ensemble Links |
The Ensemble will present a concert in the Harold J. Kaplan Concert Hall in the Center for the Arts at Towson University on Wednesday March 9th, 2005 at 8:15 PM. The
concert will present
five new compositions featuring three pieces selected from the
Ensemble’s national call for new
works. TU mezzo soprano, Leneida
Crawford will perform Gregory
Mertl’s Quatre Aperçus.
The Ensemble will perform Fernando
Benadon’s Meet Café
and Mark Winges’ Familial Banter. Also featured will
be guest artist David
Stambler performing Jonathan
Leshnoff’s Four Portraits for
saxophone. The concert will include the premiere
of William Kleinsasser’s Innocent Proteins, a chamber
concerto for two pianos and percussion featuring guest artists Ruth Neville
and Daniel Koppelman.
On Thursday March 10th, Ensemble Guest Artist Daniel Koppelman will present a free lecture on piano performance in the 21st century. The lecture will be at 11:00 AM in Room 377 of the Center for the Arts on the Towson University Campus. |
