CoSMiC Scholarship Program: COmputing Sciences and Mathematics In College

Funded by NSF CSEMS* for students majoring in
Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Mathematics

This scholarship provides a stipend in the maximum amount of $1,152.50 for Fall 2006 semester (actual amount determined by financial eligibility) for qualified incoming freshman, undergraduate transfer, and continuing students who major in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Mathematics. Awardees must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, must be eligible for federal financial aid, and should demonstrate extraordinary scholastic promise.

CoSMiC Scholarships, once awarded, may be extended a second semester, depending on program funding. The Fall 2006 application cycle is authorized by extension of the 4-year NSF CSEMS* grant awarded in 2002.

ATTN: Now accepting new applications for Fall 2006 semester, contigent on NSF funding extension. Current award recipients are also being considered for Fall 2006 renewal. Application deadline is Tuesday, August 15th, 2006. Award selection decisions will be made by Friday, August 18th, 2006.
