Substance Abuse

If you are like most college students, you probably think that you will never become an alcoholic. And if and when you drink, you probably think, “I can handle it.” In fact, more than 50% of college students who drink have some major problems related to their drinking. Amazingly these problems can be considered a result of a significant alcohol abuse problem for approximately 15% of college students.

It is important to recognize when stress becomes harmful. Overall, the stress that we all experience can be helpful and stimulating. The problems come when you experience too much stress. Below are some helpful resources to aid in recognizing stress and anxiety, learning coping strategies, and increase the enjoyment of your college experience.
