 Practice compassion.

A major part of many spiritual traditions, compassion (and its siblings, kindness and altruism) are also good for you. Compassion toward yourself is particularly important if you are questioning your spiritual path and feeling confused or guilty about doing so. Showing compassion and kindness toward others has been shown by research to increase your own sense of well-being too, and has the added benefit of providing a built-in sense of meaning and purpose. As the Dalai Lama has said, “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.”
